Richard Nauheim, M.D. ,F.A.C.S

Dr. Richard Nauheim graduated from SUNY at Buffalo School of Medicine. He completed a fellowship in cornea and external diseases at The Eye and Ear Institute of Pittsburgh where he published numerous  articles in peer reviewed journals.

Dr. Nauheim  is Chief of Ophthalmology and the Director of the Ophthalmology Residency Program  at South Nassau Communities Hospital.  He is on teaching faculty at the Northwell Health System and is  an Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology at Hofstra School of Medicine.

Dr. Nauheim is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology. He is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons and a fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology. He has been name Named a Top Doctor by US News and World Report, Castle Connolly Medical Ltd, The Consumers’ Research Council of America and Newsday.

Winner 2023 Long Island Choice Awards Best Ophthalmologist.
